Dear Kid,
Yesterday may or may not have happened. I have it on good authority that there was a day, but I slept through most of it (being an Exhausted Type Person) so I can’t personally vouch for its existence. Booker assures me he ate, so I assume the rest of the day went more or less as planned.
Last night Dad and I went to a Wedding Murder Mystery. I was the Maid of Honor. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t do it.) All the participants were given information about the character they were playing in this big Italian mafia-type wedding drama, and we flitted from table to table and from conversation to conversation encouraging guests to bribe us for information. I am quite good at soliciting bribes (if I do say so myself). I am also hilariously entertaining (but you knew that).
After the bride was murdered (shot in the chest), we (the characters) got another envelope with more information. My boyfriend (the best man) dumped me and went back to seeing that b**** Stacey who is the bride’s cousin. There were all sorts of issues with life insurance policies, pre-nuptial agreements, crazy parents, travel documents, and assorted minor characters. Lots of fun.
Dinner was catered from Mangianno’s and was quite yummy. I was too busy talking to have appetizers but I assume they were delish. Dessert was wedding cake and cupcakes.
The table decorations were fun—they included chocolate hearts (Dove), conversation hearts, and teeny tiny squirt guns.
It was a very nice evening and we got home in time for Dad to watch the end of the basketball games so life was Good All Around.
Hoping to stay awake enough to enjoy the day today. Hope you have a good day too.
Love, Mom
