Dad and I went on a cruise last night.
I didn’t get seasick.
The cruise was a murder mystery “cruise.” Dad and I both had parts; he was Inspector Bullet and I was Margarita Rocks, the bar waitress turned showgirl. I was not subtle.
There were about 70 people on the cruise (led by Captain Stubling). There was lots of intrigue, lots and lots of innuendo, and lots and lots and lots of fun.
We had hors d’oeuvres in the Captain’s Quarters and then dinner catered by Maggiano’s.
You’ll be glad to know that I was neither murdered nor the murderer. I was, however, voted Best Actor by the crowd (and therefore I received the “Drama Queen” Award—stunned, aren’t you?).
Dad did a great job of keeping everyone in line and laughing and in the end he solved the very complicated case (and by “solved” I mean he read the very long explanation and by “complicated” I mean he had about two page of ‘splainin’ to do in order to prove who was the murderer).
